- 770 sq. ft. SS Hull freeze dryers. (2) CS drying chambers, with phenolic resin. Has a surface finish of Ra-32 micro inches. Chamber is constructed for full vacuum and atmospheric pressure only. Equipped with all fittings for sensors, gauges and vacuum break point. Entire front section of system consists of a dished head door and swings out completely on a davit. Gasket is retained in groove of door. Door sealing surface and chamber sealing flange are machined flat to create a pefect vacuum seal. Door also containes (2) 23 cm diameter sightglass. The chamber floor slopes to the drain port., drain port is covered with a removable SS screen and is equipped with a ball valve. Each chamber is supplied with two SS heat platen stacks, mounted parallel to each other on a fixed frame. Each stack consists of 17 heat platens, each platen is approx 610mm wide x 3.658m deep. Temp. range ambient to 130 degrees C. Each unit has (2) SS external condensers. Condenser Temp Average operation approx. -30 degrees C. Ha (4) reciprocating Carlyle 30 hp two stage semi-hermetic compressors that are mounted on a common heat exchanger and refregeration skid. A 150 liter expansion tank is located above the heat exchange - refrigeration package. Each vacuum system consists of (2) 15 kw vacuum pumps - Leybold - Sogevac Model SV630. Each drying chamber is equipped with a SS track and trolley system. Three detachable trolleys and tray tracks per chamber. Dryer is equipped with a stand alone control panel. System has (2) heresite lined chambers, each 340 sq ft w/(17) 60" x 48" shelves, 3-11/16" clearance between shelves. NB #576,575; SN V26371,V26369. Both chambers are rated 15 psi/full vac @ 350 deg F. .375" thick shell, 2.125" thick door. Hinged front door w/(3) glass ports. Refrigeration and heating system data shelf temp range -55 deg C to 75 deg C. Shelf heating is 40 KW per TCE system. (1) condenser for both chambers, 405 sq ft, 800 liter holding capacity, SS condensing plates. Shelf refrigeration system has (2) 7.5 HP compressors. Condenser refrigeration skid has (4) 30 HP reciprocating compressors. Vac system includes (2) 7 1/2 HP Stokes oil seal vac pumps, pump down time to 100 microns is 15 minutes.
