Mixing station holds the top, fixed, dish head of kettle w/Crane mech seal and the mixing drive consisting of a helical worm double reduction speed reducer, Koppers adjustable speed drive, clutch coupling and 125 HP, 3/60/440 volt, UL label. The suspended heavy duty double motion agit consists of a rotating sweep, gate type agit w/fixed bars and scrapers and a concentric shaft holding a stationary paddle agit. There are (2) kettles, each 1,000 gal working cap, 316SS, 66" dia x 7' str side, dish btm, design pressure 100 psi and full vac, 165 psi on jkt, ASME Code stamped. 6" flush valve discharge on legs 27" high w/air motor to propel kettle on tracks. A hydraulic lift raises the kettle to the top mixing head where it mates through a Rapidoor quick coupler. Unit discharges material by transporting mixing kettle on tracks to discharge station. Discharge station has top dished head that mates w/kettle. Mtd thru the head is full tank dia, ram which is pneumatically driven to forcibly push viscous product out of the kettle discharge port. - HAAGEN & RINAU UNIMIX TYPE SR 500 - CREAM MANUFACTURING PLANT - This process plant is designed for the manufacture of creams, ointments, gels, pastes, lotions, suppository masses etc. It has a useful batch capacity of 500 liters, the minimum batch should be 125 liters. The total volume of the closed vessel is 750 liters.
The plant comprises a stainless steel, totally enclosed vessel with a jacket suitable for heating by steam or hot water and cooling with cold water. The lid is supported on a hydraulic column and can be raised and swung away for cleaning and to allow the vessel to tilt. The mixing gear is mounted in the lid and comprises a planetary mixing gear with paddle stirrer and a contra rotating side- and bottom scraper. The drive motor and gearbox are mounted on the supporting cross arm.
A Unimix Homogenizer is positioned centrally in the bottom of the vessel and can be raised and lowered in a sliding seal. During the manufacturing process the homogenizer is raised to the upper position above the bottom of the vessel - it is lowered during the introduction of liquids and powders into the vessel (from below) and for homogenizing whilst re-circulating or emptying the batch.

Homogenizer 1,500 rpm. Driven by 9.5 kW 3,000 rpm. 11.0 kW Planetary Mixing Gear 13 to 35 rpm. 5.5 kW. Mounted in the lid are a safety valve, pressure gauge, sight- and light glass and three connections. During the operation of the mixer, the lid is secured by a quick acting safety closure with ring and tensioning clamp which is operated by a single bolt. The mixing vessel is supported on two plumber blocks and can be tilted hydraulically. The plumber blocks are mounted on supporting columns - the right column also houses the electrically installation and operator controls including a temperature recorder.
The vessel was previously connected to a centralized vacuum system and is therefore offered without vacuum pump. A suitable liquid ring vacuum pump can however be supplied separately.
This Plant is in excellent condition and has been serviced regularly - every two years - by the manufacturers.
